looks exactly like the R2 motherboards and seems to fit the chasis the exact same way, which means R2 users can upgrade to an R3 just by swapping out the motherboard!

I also think it's possible, but how could you get a new R3 MoBo without buying a whole computer???

Any idea what the part number on that Bluetooth module + cable is? All the Dell Wireless 375 modules on eBay appear to have very different cables.

Edit: Nvm. My r3 finally arrived and I took it apart without even turning it on first. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the cable was present (unexpected) even though the BT adapter itself wasn't (expected), so all I need to buy is the bare adapter.

I just did the r2 to r3 conversion. As a FYI, you will need a new usb/audio I/O board as the r2 one does not work.

You would need to upgrade your fan or ventilation components. The R3 runs a lot louder than the R2. I set the fan settings in the R3 to be the same as the R2 and it reached over 80 degrees in under 3 minutes of gameplay.

Because there are now two microphones, is there an issue connecting the R3 motherboard to the R2 display module?
