Shogun II: Total War is now out on Steam, did anyone buy it?

What graphics settings and FPS can you achieve, gameplay video with FPS, etc?

I get 50 FPS with medium/high settings in Napoleon Total War if that helps.

I've bought it on Steam = just waiting the next 9 hours or so until they finally unlock it here in the US.

idk but ive been playing around with the demo, no OC i7 8gb RAM and it runs very smooth for me on med-high settings, if the screen is cluttered itll get a lil choppy and my sweet spot was with turning shadows off, 25fps in heavy battle.

Yeah try the demo. That will give you the best idea.

The final game is more optimized than the demo. Played earlier on the M11 with high graphics settings - pretty damn smooth. There was the occassional slow down as you zoom right in for some detail on a thousand troops (well duh), but that's occasional as I said. I'm very impressed so far with how well this game has been written to take advantage of multi-core machines, and more impressed with how awesome the M11x handles it.

i'm gonna see how a couple more users say about running the game on the m11x before purchasing it myself. i'm looking forward to this game. but i doubt it would sway me from rift anyways. still if it runs well. i'll pick it up. keep me updated guys!

Well dayum - didn't know someone was waiting. I'll stop playing on the desktop and fire up the baby alien for the rest of the night and let you know.

I tried the demo, pretty good game. Works fine for me on both the M11xR2 and the M17xR2. There was some tearing when I first loaded it, but after refreshing the graphics settings, it hasn't happened since.
