Right now you can do better on the Outlet site. But if he has taken care of it and the warranty is still good then up to you.. I really would try to get him down a little, at 900 used is a little high. Best of luck in what you do.

If he's your friend it could be worth it if it's in great shape. Is he giving you any games or anything?

Do you know why he's selling it anyway? It's always a worry if someones selling something after they've recently bought it.

I don't believe u can do better even in the outlet. Honestly you won't find an I5 for under 1k in the outlet. But you can find cheaper prices if you want an R1. I'd say take the deal. providing his warranty and that there are no clear problems. There are some of us who have bought this laptop brand new, and it has still had freezing problems and hinge issues. So be sure there are minimal issues with it.

While they're completely sold out, earlier today you could have bought a similar spec M11x from the Dell Outlet for about $670 with a coupon code. You didn't mention what warranty the system has. If it's the standard 1-year, I would offer even less than $800. If it's the advance or premium one, then your offer would be more reasonable.

Tell him you'll take it for 750$ of else you're going to the outlet :p

He might get 900$ off ebay because European/Russian "new" prices are absurd last time I checked and the UK is the only Euro country with an outlet if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks for the replies guys. I think I'm going to go to Dell and get it from there with the full warranty. Better to get something new I think.
