Hello, I am looking at the M11xR2 i can get it with these specs i7, 4gb ram, 320gb hd, 15 months anitvirus, bluetooth, 1 year basic warrenty. For $979.02+tax is this a good price and is this laptop worth buying. I do play WoW every so often but other than that i do not game. thanks

Both your question on price and is it worth buying have been asked and answered in the many threads on the R2. That includes benchmarks for WoW. In regard to if it's worth buying, you should consider your use for the notebook and compare the other versions of the M11X as well as other comparable laptops that are good for your uses. No one can answer if it's worth it except for you, and all the information you need is already posted :)

Where I live i have to pay $1400 for the same rig, so I would say it's a bargain, but who am I :p U should check out some other threads about benchmarks to find more technical info. I''m still deciding myself wheter to get it or not but I think I will.

It really depends on what you need. There are CERTAINLY better gaming laptops out there, and for the price, you could get a desktop with twice the power. But that's not what the M11x is about. The M11x is for people who want the portability of a netbook, but with power that they can use to do gaming and quite a bit of multi tasking.

Concerning the price, I think that's the best you could get with that configuration...I think that's actually really good......How did you get it to that price? :p

Basically, it depends on what you want. But for what it's supposed to be (a gaming ultraportable) it really does own.

If you don't game you except for WoW you can honestly probably get a $600-$700 laptop that will handle WoW fine on medium settings. However it will be a larger form factor (15'' most likely).

WoW will play on most anything (I can wrath of the lich king on a computer I built for $400 10 years ago on all low settings and raid just fine, for example), so that is something to consider.

The price you quoted is a very good one, and if you'd like an 11'' laptop that can play WoW this is about your only option. If you don't particularly care about laptop size, gaming other than the occasional WoW, or anything else particular to the alienware (cool lights? :p ) then you may want to look elsewhere.

xD, well on a side note, I think the asus at $600-700 would be a much better option just because you don't really game so hardcore it should be sufficient. imo
