I'm thinking of buying this laptop, but first of all I wanna be sure if its worth it:
1.Is the laptop fast?? (i7....)
2.Will be a new ram with DDR3 at 1333MHz??
3.How is the video card(can I play... lets say Mafia ll - high setting, Crysis - high settings, GTA IV - high, Blackops - Ultra)?
4.Should I wait to the next laptop on the future?

Honestly this question comes up a lot, and I think the real question you should be asking first is
1. Do I need ultra portable, and is batterylife for non gaming situations important to me(web browsing, etc)?
Your paying a premium for this laptop's size vs. performance-for the same money there are plenty of more powerful systems but they are big and heavy..
As to your questions, I believe the system only uses 1066 ram, but overclocking can be more stable using 1333 with the i7 chipset as your raising the clocks to everything (northbridg, ram, etc), not just the cpu as its all integrated in one timing.
The i7 um is faster than my 2.5 core2 duo laptop (Asus m50sa) when OC'd, and the 335 is good, it will play anything, but high and ultra settings are asking a lot on newer games.. Crysis for me runs great with a mix of med-high settings.
No idea on when the next gen mx11 is coming out -
2. the ram provided is 1333 but is slowed to 800 as that's the motherboard limitation.
3. varies on the game but generally from medium to high with acceptable framerate (i run crysis @ 720p on medium in DX9 and it averages between 30-40fps...will try DX10 later)
4. you might be waiting a while as there's no official word on it.

in terms of texture quality the screen size is so small that you can't even tell the difference and that's fine with me.

ok thanks! More suggests?

Don't buy an M11x right now unless you can find a real good deal. My gut feeling is a new model is going to be released in the next few months.
A good deal these days is, for example, the i5/8GB RAM/320GB HD for $700 deal that was floating around (and could still be floating around...check places like slickdeals.net). That allows you to get the laptop you want now, with a high likelihood that you'll be able to recoup most of your costs later should you want to upgrade in a few months. -
I've seen so many posts whether someone should buy M11x or not.
Here is a really good advice for those who are thinking whether to buy or not.
Try to search about M11x by yourself. It is the fastest way. -

I'd wait too if you can. Its showing its age, and a refresh I'm sure is imminent. Not to mention I'd bet some competitors have eyed the market heavily.
Its a sweet system tho. Just has a small list of things that have to be improved IMO:
Screen: Get rid of the glossy. Too much border, can easily fit a larger screen in this.
Weight: Still too heavy.
DVD: Find a way to put one in.
The glossy screen is the real beef I have with it. I *hate* it. I'll never buy a laptop with a glossy screen ever again. -

Yeah, optical media is a secondary item these days. Just buy an external DVD-RW...they're like $40 and you can use them on many systems, that way.
-
I have no moving drives in my laptops, droid, or my car. Everything is solid state. I do not miss an optical drive.
It is a secondary use thing. I use an external to watch rented DVDs on. -
I wouldn't buy one full price these days, but the deal some of us were getting made it too good not to get XD

Showing it's age! Yes, the C2D version just hit it's 1 year anniversary about a month ago!
Technology moves fast though huh? Doesn't help that Sandy Bridge is a true leap forward, and one we haven't seen in a long time. I don't think people fully realize what we have to look forward to over the next couple years. Things are going to get mind blowing fast for a while.
I ordered an M11x last week, and to me it seemed worth it for the reasons posited on the first couple replies. Ultra portable, and for the size/power it's tough to beat. Plus the smoking deal on these things lately was too good to pass up. It was like getting an Alienware system without paying the premium for the brand. Fairly confident I'm going to be happy with the i5, saved some money and my portable is for far more than just gaming. I run my own business and I need something with great battery life AND power to get things done. In the meantime I plan on distracting myself with Fallout, Mass Effect, Crysis, and a few other pieces of entertainment. For ultimate gaming I have a desktop and a PS3 hooked up to a 120" projection screen.
This baby is for on the go mobile ga---er--- working. -
I have a leather netbook bag and the m11x is just the right size to fit in it.
So I would say if your bag is like mine the m11x is a wise choice. -
he asks too much isn't he ???
if you have money, just buy M17x....... -
And I already have a external usb dvd writer. Doesn't mean they can't fit a dvd slot in the thing, considering how thin they have gotten.
DVDs aren't quite obsolete yet. -
-
I would rather have less weight/cost than have an optical drive in my portable computer. I just use it so seldom. If at all. -
-
DVD Drive? Who cares!
External DVD Drives go for 40$ which also burn!
Hell - An Asus one on newegg is 40$ - 10$ MIR atm -
I sort of regret buying the M11X R1, should have made another custom desktop. Mine can't even run Crysis on low at a stable FPS, but that was when I didn't OC the CPU. This computer, for modern day games, runs all of them at low-medium. Black Ops has a crappy engine optimizations, so wait for a patch for that. This is a computer that was mean't to be portable. So size comes first on this PC. +Rep if my post helped

Oh, and to be honest, a DvD drive is useless these days, Steam is your new friend. You get cheaper deals because you don't pay for a disk and packaging. But, if you have limited internet usage, then, well,I get dial-up a lot because of Steam.
