Seem to not be performing to the standard

I just got my M11x R2 a week ago, and I can't seem to understand how my six year old Sony Viao can run a few games better than this laptop. Is there something I'm doing wrong here? I mean, it runs Runescape at 10 fps. That's not normal.

 

That's because Intel HD integrated graphic card isn't that good at processing java games.

Make sure you whitelist firefox.exe in nVidia Control Panel to use the nVidia graphic card

How exactly do I do this? Sorry I don't know much of this stuff.
It's not only runescape, for example I can't run Global Agenda on minumim settings, getting around a 10-15 fps. Another game is Vindictus, unless I use Directx 9.
