I just picked up the USB 3 Goflex adapter at Best Buy for $10 and tried using it with my Goflex drive. Every time I use the drive with the adapter, my mouse freezes after using the drive for about 30 minutes. My R3 still runs, but the Goflex loses connection and I cannot get either the USB mouse or the touchpad to work until I reboot. Does anyone else use the Goflex drive with the USB 3.0 adapter and know how to fix this problem? I am worried that USB 3.0 may not be up to snuff.

Since probably not many folks are using usb 3.0 external hd's with their m11x right now, I think I may have solved my problem. If you take out a usb mouse connected from the 2nd usb 3.0 port, the seagate goflex adapter seems to work without freezing. I am using my razer mouse through bluetooth instead of connecting it through the usb cable and it seems to work fine. I just tested the goflex drive by transferring 12 GB of video data from my c: drive to the Goflex usb 3.0 drive and got about an average of 40 mb average throughput speed. I am not sure if that is considered fast for this drive, but I guess that must be faster than using the same drive with the original usb 2.0 adapter.
