Just installed scrybe and while I can open up the application that lets me make the gestures to open stuff (havent tried it yet), I can't find two finger scrolling anywhere. Thats the main reason i installed it. The stock synaptics drivers seem to have everything else I want, but I can't find the two finger scrolling in there, even after installing scrybe.

How do I find this? Under the mouse settings all I get is the same synaptic 7.2 driver that came stock.

    Thanks for the reply.

It appears I don't have multi touch as an option there. It looks the same as before i installed the swype package.

    here is a screen

Do I need to disable alien touch before i do anything? I'm not sure how to do that. Perhaps I should just try and reinstall the swype package? I am getting the swype program where it shows you how to draw stuff and associate it with other programs or what not. And the package had the driver with it so :dunno:

Strange. Mine looks more like corwinicre, but the option for 2 finger scrolling is definitely there. I never touched anything to do with Alienware, so that is at default settings.

Yeah I'm totally confused and this is driving me crazy! 2 finger scroll is something I have been really looking forward to and is really nice.

I uninstalled the driver, then installed the version from dell's website 15.0.4 dated 21 jan 2010. Then reinstalled the scrybe package, and that installed 15.1.22 29 oct 2010 but I still have the same options!!

Ok it looks like you guys have 15.0.9. All of our m11x have the 7.2 touchpad/firmware so I should be able to get all this to work.

Edit: From my research online I seem to have found the latest 15.1.22 has the same organization of options as my screen shot BUT there is a 2 finger scroll right below the one finger scroll! For some reason thats not showing up on mine.

Ok so I tried the last thing I could do and it got what I needed.

I googled for the version you guys have 15.09 feb 18 2010 and downloaded it from somewhere (its an HP release). Then I went ahead and uninstalled scrybe (those gestures would be nice but they weren't working either and the stupid scrybe window would open up everytime i came back from sleep). Uninstalled the latest drivers...15.1.22.

Then I installed the 15.0.9 HP package and voila, all the options I want are there! Perfect. All I need is to figure out if I can have a corner press or swipe to go to my desktop.

Thanks for posting the screenies, I wouldn't have been able to get the right version without them.

Thanks for the update! At my parents for Thanksgiving, I installed Scrybe on my mother's laptop and had the same problem. It didn't occur to me it was the same, though, as she doesn't have an M11x. A few minutes ago, I tracked down 15.0.9 and installed it.
