All-
I have this problem around screen dimming.
When I unplug my laptop and run on battery, my screen dims to brightness 0/7. I don't want this, so I set the screen brightness to be 7/7 on battery power. I made this setting in both Windows Power Options and Alien Fusion power management settings. The setting won't stick.
And I have my screen set to auto-dim after X minutes of inactivity, which it does. However, when I hit a keyboard button when I am no longer idle, the screen brightness stays at the "dim" setting.
Has anybody else run into this?

I have the exact same problem. In fact, this is the reason i came to the boards today. I assume it's an Alienware software issue since the windows settings seem to be overwritten?
I have mine set to never dim when plugged in. It does after a couple minutes idle and stays dim after idle. This bugs. -
Count me in as well. I have the same issue. I'm using the latest version of all Alienware software for m11x R1...

kent & wooties, you should probably mention which display driver, command center and BIOS you are on as well as your system - R1 or R2.
Also, moving forward, please begin posting here:
