Hi everyone at NBR I hate to ask but I did not find any resolution with searching. I just wanted to know if anyone's m11x screen stays on even after you close the lid? I just had the LCD assembly replaced due to the hinge issue, and before the repair, the alien head and screen turned off when the lid was shut. Any help would be great, many thanks in advance. BTW, I have a m11x R2 if it matters.

That probably means that whoever replaced your screen assembly forgot to transfer the magnet in the screen that interacts with a sensor on the palmrest.

Without the magnet, the palmrest sensor is never tripped.

Call Dell and let them know that the magnet was not transferred. They will take care of you.

Thanks for the reply....any idea of where the magnet is so I can check?

    ---Update---
Ok, thanks to bobthedespot, I learned my new display assembly was missing the magnet. I placed a small magnet in the empty box on the upper right corner and work like a charm.
