One of the black rubber feet fell off my m11x R2. It is one of the tiny ones beside were they stick the product key. Any ideas on getting it back on? I am thinking of using some sort of glue. But there is a smaller plastic thing that sticks out that the rubber thing goes onto.

I'm not sure if i described that very well but has anyone else had this problem?

    Some kind of glue.

Super Glue or if you want to really do it right get a plastic/rubber binding epoxy.

I'd take it to a machine shop and see what they can do with a torch.

Where can I buy those rubber things for my computer?

Only reason I'm asking is so that it can have more lift so more air can flow in the bottom. I tried to google rubbery pad but no luck, any help would be appreciated.

Well I don't know about glue, but... in case you loose it, just call Dell to send you another bottom panel. :)

    LOL, sorry,
Call Dell, they will send a new backplate. There is no way to repair from what I saw, the rubber foot is pressed into a metal piece that is fixed on the plate. I have a extra one because Dell screwed up :)

That's for all the ideas guys. I will try supperglue and if that doesn't work I will call dell.

edit: If anyone is interested I was at a customers house doing computer work with my m11x on there desk. By chance i noticed a little rubber thing on the desk and thought it looked like a foot from my notebook and sure enough it had fallen off. The customer had crazy tall shag carpeting and i thought it's a good thing it did not fall onto the floor. Just as i was thinking that i knocked it off the desk and spent about 10 minutes looking for the tiny black foot in the carpet XD.

Oh yeah been there done that. Mine problem though, wasn't the feet themselves but the fact that I haven't noticed it immediately, and that laptop start scratching the table.

You could go to Home Depot and get some rubber feet to glue on?

Why bother, it is covered by Dell, just call and have them send a new bottom, it's not that difficult, really.
