So earlier today when I went to pick my my R1 the right corner area now clicks when I touch/put any pressure into it. The left does not. I am super careful with it, never dropped, bumped, anything. There is no visible damage , so my guessing is the glue/epoxy started to come undone, but it still worries me, as my machine is still fairly new, I got it at the start March.

Has anyone else had any issues with this, and if so, what did Dell tech support due when an agent came out?? It is not a quiet click either, it was loud enough that when talking to a friend I could push on it and he could hear it while on the phone.

    EDIT
I had been meaning to take a video of this months ago, and am just now getting around so everyone can really see what I am saying about it.

I really just need to know if this is something strictly cosmetic, if there is a way for me to fix it, or if this could be a bigger problem that needs to be sent to Dell for..

I suppose palm rest. It starts right under the right grill light/ in the corner, but goes towards the track pad. It is only on the lowest piece of material, not the glossy type which the grill is attached. Under that.

Thanks, but some questions and some partial results.

I undid the lid, and after watching the video, the two screws I felt I needed to tighten were reveled right away. I could not really tighten them to much, but after replacing the bottom cover I did some extra tightening and it seemed to help some, but not fully. If I push it still clicks some...

Well, better something than nothing. I think if you tight them until they can almost get broken, you will not have that problem :p
    OR
There is always the option of calling dell. They are forced to send you a tech to replace your problem if you are under warranty :)

Well I suppose I can try to tighten them some more...

Ii did call dell but they told me that I would have to send it in. I asked if it was possible for a tech to come out and they said no, due to the issue it would have to be sent out. I really cant imagine going without my computer for who knows how long, and I am afraid it will come back in worse condition then I sent it in.

If that is the case, then do a partial tear down, then put back.

    Or hot glue ;)
