Has anyone replaced the thermal paste of the M11xR2? Just wondering if its worth it.

My temps hit 80-82 for the CPU while OCed to 166mhz and barely break 70 for the GPU.

I managed for the some OCZ Freeze for free from tigerdirect using a $10 coupon and just wondering if I should reapply the thermal paste and if its a hard thing to do in this laptop?

Also, will it void my warranty reapplying the paste?

I put new thermal paste in the day after i got my lil baby, and here's my idle shot

My temps during both idle and max oc (starcraft II @ 166) are def lower. I dont have time to screenpic @ max, but i can tell u that my gpu is about 64 max and cpu about 69 is the highest i've seen it. This includes plugging hdmi to large tv @ 1080p, using wireless mouse and keyboard, except when im using a notebook fan when i use the tv

    Nice daft punk wallpaper.

Strange that you have high CPU temps and lower GPU temps. I have the opposite. Just goes to show how different same models can be..

Also give compressed air a shot. If I'm not mistaken the CPU can lose performance too not just GPU from dust..

Speedfan is very wrong for m11x. Use HWMonitor!

I have my machine OCed to 185 BCLK - on full load with Prime, I never reach or break 80 (its about 78-79). But I also notice that the slightest elevation increases the airflow to the fans drastically. Without my fanless laptop stand, I think the temperature would be way higher. Are you using a stand? Could be a safer and easier way to improve your temperatures.
