    Hi all,

I need to replace my 250 GB SATA HDD with a new one because all of a sudden Windows wouldn't boot after sleep/hibernation. Magically, I got it to boot somehow after playing around for a while. Now I am scared to turn it off.

This first occurance happened one day after my warranty expired and some nice guy sent me a replacement.

Now my question is: What is the best way to migrate my data to the new disk? Am I going to have to start from scratch and reinstall windows/programs? Or is there is simpler more efficient way to do this (clone or image, maybe?)

    Thanks for any suggestions,

    Camp

Yep, or grab an external hard drive. Back up your important files onto it, and then you will have it forever. For a 500GB one, it's about $60-$80, and a GREAT investment at that!
