    hey anyone knows if the F8 recovery from the start uses the recovery partition? or the recovery partition is used by Dell aplication? cause i hate to have those 15gb partitions ... can a crete a usb from Dell aplication and im good to go later the same Alienware config, with already installed drivers etc? and delete the recovery partition???

    See the Dell DataSafe Local application which was installed on your system at the factory. This app will allow you to create a factory restore emergency USB Flash Drive. The app is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be - I use it and have it installed and see no impact to system performance.

    For further information, search the forum as this has been discussed many times in other threads relating to Factory Restores on the 11x.
