Having trouble deciding on a wireless mouse. I do a bit of gaming on my PCs but never play FPS or anything where I need pixel point accuracy. I like RPGs as my favorite genre, and ones with an action element like Fallout and Mass Effect.

Do I need something crazy like a Razer Orochi or can I just get a basic Logitech m305 for 20 bucks?

    What do you guys use?

I use a microsoft (bluetrack technology wireless mouse) for $50. Great accuracy, no lag or messed up movements. Works on any, and I mean any surface-except for glass :p. A little expensive but, the medium size and great battery life are worth it IMO. and can find this at any bestbuy or similar stores.

yeah, pretty much debating the Logitech M505 and the Anywhere (works on glass).

I think I don't need anything amazing. Nothing where I'm going to try and tweak sensitivity and get the first shot off in Call of Duty. Leaning at the M505, doesn't work on glass but I have used one before and they seem more than decent for $20 ish bucks.

For $20-ish bucks, the Logitech M505 is a decent choice.

If you want to take a step up in budget, something like the Logitech M705 for $30-ish bucks also wouldn't be a bad choice. It has a ridiculously long battery life (3 years), a hyperscrolling wheel, and browser forward/back buttons. A basic, reliable mouse that will be a workhorse and handle whatever you throw at it.

You can also take one more step up and go with the Logitech AnywhereMX. The main benefit of that is the Darkfield sensor. Mousing on glass is nice, but the real benefit is that you can mouse on any surface. I've used mice before that are picky when you use them on less-than-perfect surfaces (airplane food trays, seat cushions, polished granite, laminated particleboard tables, etc). The Logitech Darkfield imaging sensor eats up all of those, and works perfectly every single time, like a Glock handgun. If you're going to be mousing in all sorts of crazy environments, get a Logitech Anywhere MX (or its bigger brother, the Performance MX).

I use 2 different ones. I have a Logitech M305 and a Microsoft Mobile Mouse 6000. The Microsoft mouse has the side buttons on it and the M305 doesn't.

Both are a nice small travel mouse and I like the feel of them when I use them. I am going to be getting the Logitech M570 Trackball mouse for my gaming.

I use the Anywhere MX when I'm on the go. It's small and works really well. I can play RTS and RPG fine with it, but there is a bit of lag with FPS. Not as much as other wireless mice I've tried mind you. When I'm at home, I use a G9.

I use the M505 with my m11x and its been great. The fact that the usb connector is so small makes it hassle free, and it still hasn't run out of battery since I got it 9 months ago. Been using it for some gaming, like L4D2, crysis, Dragon age, and has been fine. Good choice.

I use a X8. It's a great mouse but the plug in receiver is HUGE!

I still think for pure mobility a trackball mouse is superior, surface material doesn't matter, surface area doesn't matter, and neither does the relative position you hold it in.

You can hold it in your hand, on your leg, on a book, with much more control then any regular wired or wireless optical/laser mouse.

I can't stress enough the logitech M570 trackball wireless laser mouse with mico receiver, its not the cheapest but for the next few days the Egg has a 15% promo code off any mouse, which brings this badboy down to about $42 shipped. PM for the code if interested.
