I have my r2 connected by hdmi to my 1080p aquos but for some reason I have occasional lag, whether it be the mouse or a video. I think it may be due to the nvidea gpu not being on.

Since I am outputting a 1080p signal I'm guessing the integrated won't cut it. Is there any way to override optimus and manually switch graphic processors?

I suggest you update ur bios to the A03 one. I have no issues with my external display running at 1920x1080

I updated to A03 but its still doing the same thing even when not connected to my tv. I think it has to do with the bluetooth mouse and keyboard I'm using. I have the razer orochi and microsoft mobile keyboard 6000. When I'm playing a game they both seem to be unresponsive every so often.

I don't, however, have this problem while doing anything else. I even tried typing and moving the mouse at the same time. It worked fine.

Is there anyway to fix this, in a game's settings perhaps?

There are several possible sources of lag.

If you are playing a game, turn VSync off. There are several games that are known to have issues with mouse lag with Vsync turned on (Fallout 3, and any games that run on the UE3 engine).

There is also native lag in your wireless devices. Any bluetooth device will have at least an 8ms lag time, which may be what you are experiencing. Try running your Orochi on wired mode, and see if that helps.

There also could be lag in the video processor of your HDTV. Some cheaper or older TV's have poor quality video processors, which introduce slight lag / delay when outputting a video signal to the TV. You could be getting lag from there.

But it isn't anything about the M11x itself. Just like CristoWall14, I am also running at 1920x1080 on an external display without lag. In fact, I'm running it on a 32" 1080p HDTV (Sharp Aquos).

I have this problem and maybe one of you guys can help me out

I connected my r2 to my Samsung TV 40" HD but when I choose the max resolution the image can't fit the screen. It has the black spaces.

I selected the FULL SCREEN scale but it's still doing it.

If I set the resolution to 1280x720 it will fit the screen but won't look the same as 1366 x 768

    ANy ideas?

I also own the orochi mouse and the reason why you are experiencing lag is actually because when it is in Bluetooth mode it goes into standby after about 5 seconds of staying in one place. I assume it does this to save battery life. I would suggest using the wired mode for gaming to avoid this problem, plus you also get double the sensitivity (I believe) when it's plugged in

Unfortunately I've noticed the same thing with the Orochi. Wired mode is flawless though. That doesn't help me game from the couch with the HDTV though. :(

@jpyaa Going into the tv's menu and messing with the view mode may work. I had to change mine on my sharp (there were at least 4 different options for hdmi input).

As for my problem, I figured out it had to do with how far away I am from the laptop. Turns out the range on my bluetooth devices is horrible. Anyone else using the orochi from their couch? It may be because of interference since I have my entire setup of electronics on my tv stand..

I had this problem with my Sharp Aquos 32" 1080p LCD HDTV when I first got it and tried to hook up a computer running at 1920x1080. On the Sharp TV, there should be a setting called Display Mode. Make sure that you have it set to Dot by Dot, and not anything else.

If you already have it set to Dot by Dot, then your problem is in your graphics display settings. The problem is called underscan, but it may also be called Image Stretch or Image Scaling. Be sure that you have it set to 100%. I don't recall if you mentioned if you have an R1 or an R2. If it is an R2, you want to change these settings through the Intel graphics control panel. If you have an R1, you want to apply the settings in the control panel for whatever GPU you are using.

As for wireless mice - I don't know how far away you are, but your best shot at wireless at this point would be using a 2.4Ghz wireless mouse, where the wireless receiver is as close as possible to the mouse and has a clear, unobstructed view. The nice thing about 2.4Ghz wireless is that the receivers are usually USB, which means you can put it on an extension cord to shorten the distancde. Unfortunately, the Bluetooth module in the laptop is in a fixed position, and not optimally placed for long distance wireless transmissions.
