    1st RAM

It looks like the motherboard on the laptop only support DDR @ 800MHz. I am looking at getting some ram @1333MHz now I know it would downclock it and I can confirm people running that ram and laptop being stable. I guess I am asking it only supports 800MHz correct?
    Newegg.com - G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Laptop Memory Model F3-10666CL9D-8GBSQ

    2nd CPU FSB ( i7 640UM/1.20GHz (4M Cache, 2.266 GHz Max Turbo Frequency)
From what I am reading it looks like FSB peaks at 166 max with some people being able to hit this and some not.My question is at peak 166FSB what is the standard clock speed from 1.20GHZ what does it jump to?

    1. no matter what RAM you put in, it will downclock to 400mhz, and the timings will also reset to 6-6-6-15 (unless you use HyperX memory, in which case the timings might be different, but clock still 400mhz).

    2. There is no FSB in the i7. The standard clock speed at a bus clock of 166mhz is 1.494Ghz (166.67mhz x 9x multiplier = 1.499ghz). With TurboBoost it will go to 2.333ghz in multi-threaded applications, and 2.833Ghz in single-threaded apps.
