Damaged my R1 board trying to pinmod :(

Any possibility of using an R2 motherboard in the R1 chassis?
I know there are differences in the ports - I don't mind doing case mods to make it fit.

    I don't care about cosmetics.

I know that the battery ports are different one the R1 and R2. Also I know that the R2 doesn't have a VGA and the R1 Does. Could have a lot of unknown issues like that arise.

R1 and R2 motherboards are different in structure and case mods is simply near impossible unless you are engineering and modifying it in a factory, similar to those of Dell.

Won't fit. Port layout (and therefore, the chassis) will be different.
