Hey guys im looking for a m11x. Really the question is do 2nd gen i3s have any more power than a 1st gen i5? So should I get the r2 or r3? They are both around 750$

    R3 has
    2gen i3, 8gram, 1gNvidia, 320ghdd
    ______
    R2 has
    1gen i5, 4gram, 1gNvidia, 320ghdd

Correct me if I'm wrong the i3 at least past ones do not have turbo boost. Anyone know if this one has it?

I dont see any reason not to go with the r3. It has better specs and the updated cpu. Oh and you wont see much of a difference between the r3 i3 and the r2 i5

You will see more of a difference if yOu play graphically dependent games. You won't see much in CPU dependent games like sc2. Depends on what you prefer.

I was able to get a refurbish R3 I5 for $699 ($799-$100 Coupon). I'm very happy with it!

The i3 is still a revision 2 machine. The R3's have USB 3.0 the i3 doesn't. If you don't care about USB 3 get the i3.

Good deal on that computer j7. Nice coupon too must be new, I was lucky enough to get this computer on a 15% off outlet coupon.
