Dear R1 owners, I would like to ask you to spend some time on my issue.
Could you please follow this guide and report on result:
- switch to nvidia mode
- open this picture fullscreen and look carefully on laptop's screen

Do you see some vertical lines? If yes, switch to intel mode and check if they disappear.
Mine looks like this:

No vertical lines in both modes.
-
Yes, actually. But I really have to flip the screen in nvidia mode to see them.
-
No lines here
-
Nope, no lines for me
-

Same no lines for me.
-
looks the same to me on both discrete & integrated
-
I do. When I switch to Nvidia Gfx. I can see those vertical lines.
-
3 Can see them and 6 does not have them. Strange.
What do you guys think this is? It is not annoying in anyway, but kind of funny.. -
For me its very annoying In games less but when i work with photos i look very carefully on screen and these lines bothers me
-
Yeah, I can understand that. But I have not noticed for the almost a year I have used my m11x as only computer.. Maybe they are more visible on yours? I have to flick my screen all the way down, looking at it from a angle I never use. And then I can barley see them. I get my R2 today, will check that also.

M11xR1 SU7300. AUO screen. Nvidia 263.08 Intel 1994. Firefox 4.0 RC
Extended your pic to full screen (F11) in both Intel and Nvidia and couldn't see anything other than a grey screen.
Do you see this on external monitors too?
What LCD monitor brand do you have?
Didn't you have this issue ages ago? And if you've had a screen replacement and the brand is not the same, it'd be hard to say it's the monitor.
Not using some odd .icm file? -
I'm just trying to understand scale of issue. External monitor doesn't have such issue. Moreover it you select discreet only mode in bios and install driver from nvidia.com screen will be clean.
Since i had few displays changed due hinge malfunction i noticed that one of them didn't had lines on default driver. But then my screen was changed again and lines are back.
So there are something in display that conflict with hardware and lines are displayed. Very weird. -
i dont see any difference aside from the color saturation gets a bit deeper on the Intel Gfx.
for the record i have a Samsung LCD. (i consider it to be great quality for a laptop LCD) -
Yes I can see them when I have Nvidia Graphics on . Of course when I have integrated graphics I cannot see the lines.

Maybe DELLChrisM will bring to the attention dell's tech man.
Meanwhile i asked some people about type of LCD and there is no logic. AUO screen can have lines and can be clean. No pattern. -
Just a thought and maybe not the best one, but both screen are displaying in 32bit 60Hz?
-
Yep

Well that's pretty weird. If you want to try and fix it, go to the nVidia control panel and adjust the GPU's brightness gamma etc.
R1 users, i need you attention please
