So, in original crysis 1.2.1 (not warhead) i have such crackle sound:
YouTube - Crysis sound issue on m11x

    I tried everything:

    - windows 7 reinstallation,
    - realtek driver updated to a latest version,
    - lowering game settings to low

But most strange thing that if i launch game in 64bit mode there are no soung issues.

So, r1 users, is there anyone who play crysis in 32bit mode and doesn't have such issue? Because i have it in any way but in 64bit mode.

Crysis is full of bugs....maybe they will fix it. I really dont think that is a m11x since I play it on medium and I have no problems at all. I play on gamer just for single player

I have the problem too, and I run the game in 32bit. It does get VERY annoying.

varnado what driver was you using?

    Skillman01
Gamer is for Crysis addon which has no problem on 32 bit. Are you sure you played crysis 1?)

Why use the 32bit version then? IIRC, there's no performance drawback like there is with DX10 vs DX9. I know the Steam version doesn't have that option but you clearly do.

And you sure you are on 32bit? Cause on desktop its 64bit shortcut "E:\Games\Crysis\Bin64\Crysis.exe"

    He's specifically asking about Crysis.

Not Crysis: Warhead, not Crysis Wars, not Crysis 2.

More specifically, he's asking about 32-bit vs 64-bit.

If you bought your game off Steam, you'll only have the 32-bit mode. If you bought the game through retail, you'll have an extra folder containing 64-bit mode. So, please keep to the discussion at hand.

Vorob, I have Crysis 1 retail, so I can check for you & compare my 64-bit vs 32-bit. I'll do this when I get off work in about 5 hours.

Yes, that's exactly what i'm talking about :)

If you have some time, your test would be wonderful. I tried Crysis on my desktop, also with realtek sound, and its the same noise on 32bit and clear sound on 64.

Just to save you some time, both official patches:

    Sorry for the delay.

I installed Crysis 1 retail & updated it to 1.2.1.

I'm running the latest Nvidia drivers from Dell's website.
I'm also running the audio divers from Dell's website.

I get the same results as you. 32-bit mode has the crackles like the video you posted & 64-bit does not.
