So the other day I installed the software for my G500 mouse, messed around with the mouse, then used the notebook without the mouse. Now it seems that the trackpad is slower then before. Is that possible? I had my DPI settings at 500/1000/1500 respectively and I am thinking that now the trackpad is running at 500. I am not sure how trackpads work exactly, so I'm not even sure if this is possible; Any thoughts?

Yes, I know what you're talking about. If you changed the pointer speed in the control panel properties page for the mouse, that is a global setting that affects all pointing devices. Annoying, yes. What you should do is set that slider back to somewhere that works well for the touchpad and adjust your dpi settings accordingly.

That really is annoying. I am guessing that setpoint changed the settings and now every time that I plug in the mouse I am going to have this issue. It could be worse I guess...
