Just bought 2x4GB Ram, and it isn't working properly. If I have just one stick in (either stick), it the laptop boots fine, but if I have both in, it won't work at all. If I have both sticks of the original 1GB in, it also works fine. I'm very confused - any ideas?

No, it's Integral. I looked at that thread, but mine never works when in the second slot. Infuriating - not sure if PC World will refund me or not.

    Is your pc overclocked?

If so, turn off the over clock in the bios and give it another shot.

I have heard though that the m11x sometimes doesnt like running ram in the second slot. Some it works, some it doesnt. I will be ordering some really nice ram soon to test to see if its my slot or just that the aliens are rejecting cheap ram chips.

Might just be the chipset isnt handling the 8gb very well. it happens... not much you can do but try a different 8gb to rule that out. if its the chipset your only choices are to RMA the board or run less RAM.

I had went thru 3 780i motherboards before i got one that would run 4x2 RAM at a deacent overclock. sometimes the chipsets just dont like dimms that are on the high side of the RAMs tech limits.
