    R1 Hinges Fixed?

    Okay, I was thinking about buying this M11x in the link down below, and I had a couple of questions.

    Would I have any problems with the hinges?

    And, is there any other problems I should know about?

    Some people have hinge problems, others don't. The new hinge design is not implemented in new systems unless it is an R3, so there will always be the chance of having problems if you get a new R1 or R2. I have had my R2 for 8 months so far and haven't had the hinge problem. Your link is an R2 by the way.

    Adunno if Dell officially has already fixed R1/R2 hinges, but they only refurbs of those now. Also if the hinges pop out, they should be covered by warranty as it is a known issue. Our floor model M11x was approved for RMA for the busted hinge issue.
