    I can't help but suspect that- after reformatting my m11x- the GPU idle temperature is higher than it used to be. I'd like to compare my figures with other R1 users as I don't like the idea of additional GPU usage for no discernible reason.

    Min: 42 deg
    Max: 54 deg

    Current nVidia driver is 263.08, A02 and the BIOS has recently been updated from stock to A05.

    (I live in a dry and VERY Hot place(summer->up to 45 C)) Have in mind that the place we live in may affect the temperature of the laptop.
    Min: 40-50
    Max: 70!

    Nvidia Driver-> 263.08
    BIOS->A05
    [I'm giving A LOT of space to make the m11x breed well].

    !By the way, I have not tested my r1 temps on gaming after I installed the a05, that was around 1 week ago!

    Ah, my GPU temperatures appear to be in the realms of normalcy. I live in Scotland where the ambient temperature is below 25 deg which suggests that you're right about location. I've noticed a small increase in temp after installing A05, nothing substantial as the GPU never normally rises above 60deg.

    Ah the land of nips and tatties.

    The M11xR1 BIOS A05 was modified to refine the fan table threshold.

    In older BIOS versions the fan on the M11xR1 could and mostly did remain in a state where the fan didn't turn off.

    To overcome this in BIOS A05 the temperature fan thresholds were raised slightly so that the cut off point where the fan would turn off was better defined.

    The M11xR1 GPU will happily operate between 40C - 50C with peaks in gaming taking the temperature up to 65-70C.
