I ordered my m11xr2 on the 5th, (EDD 20th) While I wait, I've been doing what everyone else does while they wait and have been hanging around here. All of the hinge issues that have been reported is disturbing, there are a lot of horror stories floating around these boards.

My question is this... Have you guys noticed the issues right off the bat? Or have they developed over time? Has Dell officially addressed this issue at all? Other than the "paper test" is there anything I can do when I get my m11x to check if any issues are forthcoming? Forgive me if any of these Qs are on other threads. I went through a ton of pages on the hinge issues, but i certainly didn't go through them all.

Also, how many people can report absolutely no hinge issues at all? When did you guys purchase yours?

It's luck of a draw, and how you take care of it.

There is no need for another hinge thread.

When old hinge threads get burred upon masses of posts, I think another hinge thread couldn't hurt, it's a pain for us newer members to read 85 pages worth of posts just to find the question we are looking for.

I'm not asking whether the issue exists or not, that much is known now. I'm taking a slightly different spin to it.
