i know everyone is prob calling BS but i just talked to an agent via chat and this is our discussion
i deleted his name because dell reads these forums

    Session Started with Agent
Agent: "Welcome to Dell US Chat! My name is and I will be your Dell.com Chat Expert. Hi there, how can I help you today Max?"
    Agent : "Are you there?"
Agent: "Not to rush you but bare we still connected?"
max: "sorry i stepped away for a moment"
    Agent: "no problem"
    Agent: "still here"
max: "i was just wondering if there will be more than just two options for the cpu on the m11x"
max: "reason why i ask is every review i have read has an m11x r3 with a i7 2657M cpu"
    max: "?"
Agent: "For sure, we will soon be offering additional packages for that model, probably we will be launching another package with a different specification by next Thurs."
Agent: "But it's not official yet"
max: "this Thursday? or next week?"
    Agent: "That's next week"
max: "ohh ok have you heard if its going to have any other options for example another gpu to choose from"
Agent: "Yes, that's the news, however it is not official yet, I mean, not guaranteed if it's 100% sure that we will be launching on the said date, that's the plan though"
max: "do you know what gpu i know its just a rumor but humor me if you will"
Agent: "I'm not suposse to disclose but the additional processor option is Intel® CoreTM i7 2630QM (2GHz/6MB cache)"
Agent: "it's a Quad core processor"
max: "lol what are you sure? i think that would fry the m11x man"
Agent: "I thought so, but Dell should know better"
Agent: "they are running a series of test thus the launching is unofficial"
max: "very nice that would be a big jump, do you know of any other gpu options coming or are they sticking with the 540m?"
Agent: "for now those are the only options they are planning to release on the 11X series"
max: "very nice man you have me excited now lol"
Agent: "I just hope that Dell will soon launch the new packages"
max: "it's strange ive tried to get answers all day from customer service and everyont i talked to had no idea what i was talking about lol are you located in the US because i can tell you for a fact that they where not"
    max: "everyone*"
Agent: "Well we are not suppose to disclose any information we know such as this, as what we have signed and agreed, but I am hoping that this session is not monitored, I'm sure it won't since it's pretty late for them to do that, everyone actually knows about th"
is but again they are not allowed to disclose the information
max: "lol i gotcha well thanks for taking the risk buddy"
    Agent: "No problem"
max: "i dont want you to get in trouble and i know that they can monitor at anytime of the chat reason being is i work at a call center too so i know lol"
max: "so ill take of and give you a good review"
    max: "off*"
Agent: "I always get lucky though, I'm the only agent I know that discloses most of the information to customers, never been caught, well it's not like a matter of death to let your buyer know what to expect."
Agent: "so it is still for a good cause, anyway, thank you for your time Max"
Agent: "Would there be anything else that I may assist you further with before I let you go?"
max: "nope thats it bud thanks again"
Agent: "Our Chat team strives to provide the very best levels of customer service. If you have a minute, we would really appreciate your feedback on a quick survey that will pop up in a new window once the session ends. My manager gets all the feedback and we us"
e it to help our customers. Thank you for choosing DellÆs Sales Chat and have a wonderful evening.

I think it's been well established that most of Dell's chat/phone support doesn't know anything. This is an example.

I am sorry but when someone uses terms like "I think" and "unofficial" in an argument, they are just talking out of their area where stuff comes out of. It is not even worth getting people's hopes up for something that would have obviously been out for launch.

Not all i7's are quad core. The M11x versions aren't.

the current i7 option in the m11x isnt, its a duel core with hyper threading so 2cores 4 threads the cpu the agent was talking about has 4 cores and 8 threads

2630QM? Almost not possible at all. More then double the heat output (17W TDP vs 45W) then the current CPUs. It's plausible if Dell put in full voltage dual core CPUs but the jump from a Turbo throttling ULV core to a full quad core is just too large for the current heatsink system and believability.

thanks for sharing however until its something which is actually available to order on the website, its nothing more than speculation.
