What programs should I use for GPU over-clocking? I can only manage about 7500 (3d mark 06) points on my R2 with CPU over-clock. And how does GPU over-clocking generally work?

I currently use the Nvidia System Tools.

(for some odd reason when I OC'd with the other common programs like MSI Afterburner and EVGA precision, WoW crashes for me.)

Strange. I have installed it on both my Nvidia GPUs and it works fine. I am not familiar with your computers but I'd assume they all ran NVidia Graphics? Because the System Tools loads through the Nvidia control panel.

I use afterburner and it works great. a GPU OC won't do much for you in 3dmark06, as it it highly CPU dependant even in the graphics test, OC'ing your CPU will give you that bump to 8K

Thanks! could only get 7445 again from 3dmark06. Got any more "3dmark" tweaks?

Yep, couldn't find a reason why it crashed...I was weirded out, but it was good I could not overclock until recently (with MSI Afterburner), after I cleaned my fan/vent. I was running CPU/GPU at 75/85 on idle...all due to dust.

I used what you recommended. Later I played Crysis two, it froze a few times, but I could always ctrl + alt + del out of it. Can that be because of the GPU oc? I have not tried un oced yet..

Your card could be unstable as you didn't test that OC for stability. Use OCCT to test for stability, it has a builtin artifact scanner so you know if it's unstable quicker.

What is the max "ok" temp for the GPU? I reached 70 celcius during a stress test, and it seemed to keep it stable at 69-70. Changing RAM with my R1 soon, to see if that helps for higher CPU clock. If it does I know it is ram, and can buy some better.

I'd like to know what a good temperature range for GPU overclocking is, as well.

On the other note on the Nvidia site I read through the "Supported Products" of the Nvidia System Tools; I don't see the GT 335M listed. Does it still work with the GT 335M?

I know several R2s. Mine included that cannot overclock at all. For some reason the shader clock is not stable and must be lowered below stock. Here is a link to the issue on WoW. This applies across the board to all games if you have a GPU that is like this. Fortunately for me the GPU flaw doesnt impact gaming enough for me to worry about warranty. I OC my CPU to 180mhz and still get consistently high FPS in Crysis, WoW, black ops, etc.

I posted a thread here: GPU Crashes "Fixed" by Underclocking Shaders. - Any fixes to this yet? but someone has yet to respond.
