Just an off guess here, but would higher density sticks effect the OC at all?
Still the difference between 164 and 166 is not noticable in real world apps.

Someone recently claimed that the RAM gets locked to 6-6-6-15 once installed, so maybe that's too much of a stretch for some CL-9 rated memory. I'm still waiting for confirmation of this though.

dr650se tried stock 1066, 1333 cl9, 1333 cl7, if you look at all the pictures, all the sticks get knocked down to 800mhz 6/6/6/15, with the exception of the hyperx performance ram which gets set to 6/5/5/12. CAS always get set to 6.

Cool! If it wasn't for that HyperX screenshot, I would've had doubts about CPUZ reporting the correct timings without also confirming in the BIOS. This is really interesting... I wonder what happens with CL5 memory now.
