I am seeing the m11x only has one 'powered' usb port on the left side. The two on the right are not powered. Does this mean I would only be able to use a usb corded mouse on the left side plug? Or that I can only charge an mp3 player on the left but use a usb drive/mouse/etc in any of the ports.
Stupid question I know, but just getting everything straight here.
Also, is the 65W adapter what comes with new m11x r2s? If I get a 90W brick with say an outlet one, will they send me a 65W if I ask? I read some folks were successful with that in some other thread.

If I recall correctly, powered USB port just means that there is still power available to that port when the laptop is in standby mode or something along the lines of that.

Just to reinforce,
I use all of the USB ports to charge my iPhone or to use my USB wireless mouse, so I can safely say there is no difference to using all the USBs for the same thing. -
You can use the powered usb port to charge stuff when the laptop is off. Not sure if you have to have the power cord connected to the laptop since I never tried, but that's the idea.

Ok, Heres the full answer for the USB half of your question...
All the USB ports are powered when your laptop is running. All USB devices should work as normal on any USB port.
The powered USB port can be used when the laptop is shutdown and even unplugged from the wall. Pretty useful for charging devices etc. Obviously this will deplete your M11x battery though unless plugged in.
I'm really not sure what your asking about the PSU! My R2 came with a 90W model PA-3E, LA90PE1-01.
Its a smart PSU though so using non dell or out of spec PSUs will often result in decreased performance and/or a warning on POST that you're using the wrong PSU. -

Yes, it's a slim PSU. The full Dell P/N is CN-0J62H3.
Powered usb ports? 65W adapter good for i5?
