I just wanted to ask the community if they are experiencing the same load times I am.

I have the R2 with I5 processor, 4GB ram and stock Samsung SSD.

When I start the computer (or restart) the time it takes for the BIOS to post (from black screen to the alien head BIOS logo) take a full 10 seconds. After the Alienhead logo, the time to get to the desktop is about 18 seconds (normal for SSD ).

Also most of the time the overclocking to 166 on the Front Side Bus (FSB) is not remembered. Instead when I boot up it loads the 133 FSB settings. I know this because I have core temp start automatically and its shows the FSB settings. In order to get 166 FSB to activate I have to restart the system, select F2 during Alienhead boot screen and then immediately exit with saving changes (F10). If I look at the settings in the BIOS the 166 is already selected (meaning its saved as 166 in the BIOS).

Anyway just wondering if anyone else is having this issue.
    Thanks

You need to lower your OC until it sticks. Try 164. If that doesn't stick then keep dropping it until it does. Not all CPUs will OC the same.

So the 166 is stable...it just the setting of 166 is not remembered by the BIOS, so I have to set it almost everytime I boot. Its about a 1 in 5 shot that the settings are rememberd by the bios....thanks for the reply though.

Did you try to flash the bios?
