    Bit of a longshot possibly, but really tempted by an R1. However I wondered if anyone played EU3 or HoI3 on the R1 as they are more cpu intensive games than most (HoI3 certainly struggles on my M1530).

    Eu3 runs fine on my R2. However I have not put HoI3 on it (Friend borrowed the disc a while ago, never saw it again...)

    I would assume that the difference would be that HoI3 asks for 3.0 shaders and such to be on the card, the 8600m in the M1530 is way less than what the 335m is capable of. It is possible that you are being held back by that.

    Like I said, max settings, modded and all (Whole World, Civ Univ, and the other texture mods.) Eu3 runs like a dream as soon as you get it white listed.

    And for reference I have Eu3 IN.
