Ordering M11x R2 - colour choose

Hi!

I will be ordering M11x R2 really soon and I would like to get some advice from you:
1) Which colour is better? Lunar Shadow or Cosmic Black? I prefer black, but I saw that on R1 it was glossy-like. Is it different in R2? I would like to take black if it don't catch fingerprints. So how it is with fingerprint catching on "Cosmic Black Soft Touch"?
2) Would M11x fit in this neoprene sleeve - BELKIN COMPONENTS Belkin - Notebook sleeve - 12.1" : Laptop Accessories - Accessories | Dell UK ?
I can't find anything that fits M11x exactly (I must purchase in Dell UK).

 

black is what i have soft touch like the ibm thinkpad but the coating is thicker so it will last a long time and matte so no fingerprints . Love it stealth and blends in real well. The guy after me will convince you lunar shadow is bad so you decide

 

R1 Black or R2 Soft Touch Black, both will show fingerprints. More smudges than fingerprints with the soft touch. Can't go wrong with silver. It hides everything. I buy everything silver...My Trailblazer SS is Silver

 

I ordered lunar shadow (don't have it yet). I like the contrast between the silver and black, both open and closed. I made my decision based on pictures and youtube reviews, but those that have it say that is looks even BETTER in person, which i hope I agree with . I may have needed a break from black, as I am coming from an acer ferrari 4000 (black carbon fiber). More people seem to be ordering black, which for me makes the lunar shadow a bit unique.

 

If the soft touch is like the back of my smartphone (HTC Incredible), then it will show scuffs and marks rather readily, and you might see the mystery scratch here and there. Lunar shadow does show fingerprints, but the silver color masks the fingerprints, so the PC has to be REALLY dirty to show visible marks.

I say go Lunar Shadow.

 

I got the grey / silver and its beautiful. perfect mix between black inside and metallic silver on the outside.

 

i also went for the lunar shadow, too much black in my electronics already

 

I went for soft touch black, it's not like the R1 glossy black. Any smudges you might get on the soft touch, you just wipe off the silver grey is too bland for me.

 

The problem with the black r2 isn't smudges; it's the fact that the soft touch rubbery stuff gets worn off, which looks much worse than fingerprints IMO.

 

Nah, then it will look all post apocalyptic, but still work fine.

 

Would look radioactive if you make it green. (I also ordered the soft touch black)

 

I picked black so that the LED will stand out more =D

Why would you want an alienware if your not even going to utilize those fancy keyboard lights? I would've gone for the envy 14 if I wanted silver.

And yes, that is the actual deciding factor on why I purchased my alienware, because of those fancy keyboard lights

EDIT: well that and that it's so small that I can bring it anywhere and game and at the same time hook it up with HDMI

 

If us lunar shadow owners wanted soft touch black finish I expect we would have gone with a thinkpad

 

Lunar shadow here and I like it alot.

The laptop itself is slightly heavier than I expected.
