Ive had my R1 for a few weeks now and there are just a few odd things going on. First the USB (single) port on the left side between the VGA n network, will not work with my wireless mouse. Any reg wire USB mouse seems to work (oh and a desktop wireless mouse seemed to work). It feels like the receiver (its a logitec M510 btw) just isnt working on that side. Windows sees it as Logitec USB receiver, but the mouse just wont work (on that side). T. he 2 USB on the other side dont seem to have this problem (if it is a problem). The the other odd thing is a seemingly random lite "click" sound fromthe kybd area right under the arrow keys. Im worried its my HD. But it isnt very audible unless your really close (ear down to kybd) and its very random. I can go 20 min without hearing it, then 3 or 4 times in 7 or 8 min, then nothing for hours. Other than those 2 things my R1 is sweet, Rift is totaly playable with just the bios OC (no clue what my FPS are).

I would go check and see if you have any error messages under your Device Manager regarding your USB controllers. If that is the case, uninstall the effected USB drivers and restart your laptop so they are re-detected. This sometimes fixes issues regarding the USB controllers. It helped me before, best of luck to you.

The click is normal. its the HDD parking the heads off to the side. happens on alot of drives. some are more loud than others.

Are you using the wireless mouse on the right side of you laptop? if so the reciver may just not be powerful enough. could also try brand new batteries.

Cool thx I will try that for the USB. And that good to hear about the HD, I knew it was not a "evil" hard drive sound (heard that before, sounds bad). One more silly question. Can I change the color of the alien logo on the back of the screen, didnt see it in the command center.

Nope, can't change that color unfortunately, or even turn the light off for it
