I recently updated my Nvidia driver and seem to have lost my Nvidia control panel. I would like to have access to my whitelist. Am I just looking in the wrong place or is it wiped out from the recent Nvidia driver update I did? I'm looking in the bottom right tool bar under the programs running. Is their another place to check for the control panel or download another control panel. Thanks for the support guys.

I'm guessing you installed the newest 266.58 driver. It's got a weird glitch in it that causes the nvidia control panel to mess up. The same thing happened to me.
You basically have two options. Reinstall your 266.58 drivers and be sure to click "Clean install" and if that doesn't sort it, roll back to the 260.99 drivers. Almost all the nvidia drivers have issues with the M11x R2, so there's no way to really escape that. Let's hope the next batch of nvidia drivers fix some of these problems.
I've also heard some people say rebooting helps... though it didn't work for me when I had this problem. -
Thanks for the info. Now at least I know I was looking for something that isn't there. -
Well, the 260.99 driver (which I've never had a problem with the control panel disappearing) has a couple quirks... full-screen antialiasing doesn't work, and if you play Bad Company 2 punkbuster will freak out and kick you off online servers. There are some modded drivers which fix the punkbuster issue, but I haven't tried them.
The 266.58 drivers for me have always had an issue with the control panel. From what i've been told it's a problem of pieces of your old drivers being left over and messing things up. You can try reinstalling your 266.58 drivers from scratch, and making sure to tick "clean install" and see if that helps. If not, you may have to use DriverSweeper to totally clean out that nvidia junk.
but like I said... all these solutions were hit or miss for me. Even with a clean install of 266.58 I still had the control panel disappear every so often. That's what I meant by "you can't really escape it" ... it's more or less just a quirk of the driver on the M11x, from what I understand. I have the M11x R2 and I use the 260.99 drivers because they seem to work better, but if the 266.58 drivers work for you, give em a try. -
Cool thanks so much for the info. This is really helpful. Where can I find a 260.99 driver download, didn't seem to find in on the Nvidia site.

All fixed.
