In an attempt to squeeze a bit more performance for COD Ghosts and BF4 I used nvidia system tools to over clock GT540M.

This has been a success. Put it up to 750/1000 which seems stable on fur mark.

I'm really just looking for opinions and advice as to whether or not this is advisable. Cod ghosts can now run on extra at 45 fps.

I should add fur mark got up to a scary 96 degrees c. I'm sure the game does not push this hard but will monitor temps.

    TIA.

Hello. That's a really nice overclock and as long your GPU temps are OK there is no reason to worry. Good job.

I would caution against using FurMark burn-in testing as it can ruin your GPU. 96°C will not cause any serious damage to an Intel CPU but it can destroy a graphics card if you do it too much. Other parts of the GPU, such as VRM, may be getting much hotter that 96°C.
