Hey guys, first post lets see if its a good(un) :)

A few days ago I installed (From Nvidia's website) their latest driver 266 or along those lines. I seemed to have problems with the Nview (I'm Old :D ) control panel with the physX settings only detecting the Intel HD chip.

I went to Dell's site thinking I may be charged with an OEM problem so I downloaded their latest nvidia drivers (257.30), after updating the BIOS to A04. I only installed the drivers to see if I could get a performance boost originally, and for a while I thought it worked, but eventually youtube playback at 480 and 720p seemed to be a problem with either the image not moving or just a white blank screen being played with sound.

While on the Nvidia control panel it dosn't seem to have the full expendable sub menus as before. The only menu items I can get now are adjust image settings, manage 3d settings, set PhysX config, adjust video colour and image settings. A wee bit less than before.

Optimus (or which ever it was called) also is'nt listed in the preferred graphics box, just the intergrated and high performance options and the program control while working seems to be clunky and sluggish.

Both chips can be seen in device manager and annoyingly enough again the windows utility says I'm running driver version 8.17 :(

I was recommended this forum a while back for updated and modded video drivers, game and system advice so would the drivers^ above listed solve my problem or is it something else  . It would also be awesome if I could be directed to the those driver downloads.

    My system

    M11X-R2
    Windows HP 64bit (SP1)
    Nvidia 257.30

Plus a little quibble can the m11x r1/r2 support a terabyte hardisk size, not the physical dimensions but the capacity?

Thanks all! (I have looked a few previous posts but I can find things close but not the same problem :( )
