I recently got the time to take a look on how to optimize my M11x and it's R1. I've seen how some oc to 1.73ghz but mine only goes to 1.6ghz, but I'm not really sure what bios I should update to? Right now I'm on A03.

Dont worry your fine. Download CPU-z and check the frequency there and you will find it reports 1.73Ghz. Windows/Some applications report back differently.

A side-note: A04 is the newest bios if you really want to flash it to correct bugs listed here: Drivers and Downloads

Download CPU TrueSpeed (Google). This will give you the current clock speed of your processor.

CPU TrueSpeed v1.8 gives me a clock speed of 1733.394MHz

    CPU-Z normally displays OC'd core speed at ~ 1600MHz.

Some people also freak when they see U7300 @ 1.30Ghz displayed after they have OC'd their system. Remember this is the processor description and not the clock speed it's currently running at.

    Don't worry, be happy.

I've got a R1 with the newest bios and everything shows 1.73 for me. Even in my system info window.

CPU-Z reports my CPU speed as 1596 mhz on A04 for some reason. A01-03 said 1600. No idea why. Performance actually seems a little better on A04 though so it doesn't really bother me.
