So i just got my r1 today, and i ran into an issue when starting to play League of Legends.

First time user... i overclocked my cpu, ran all of the available windows updates, and installed bitdefender total security 2011. After that, everything seemed ready so i installed LoL and fired up a game... ran into some lag/fps issues, around 20-30 fps.

According to CPU-Z my memory speed was fluxuating between1596.0MHz-1595.9MHz. CPU Truespeed and Steam are both showing up as 1729.0MHz

Im aware of the different graphics modes with the 335, but what gives? I added LoL and LoLlaucher to my whitelist through bitdefender and 3d settings...

According to task manager im using aot of the CPU... around 80%.. is LoL a CPU hungry game?

    Moving thread to M11x sub-forum.

    Model Specifc Subforums:
The Alienware forum is divided into a main Alienware discussion area and model specific subforums.

When creating a new thread, if it is model specific, please post to the model subforum. Only general Alienware discussion items should be posted to the main forum.

I've never played that game but you shouldn't have any problems with it. This thread might be of some help:

    League of Legends Performance questions

It's also possible the game updated recently. MMO updates can wreak havoc on performance. Might be worth poking around the game's forums, as well, to see if anyone's playing on an r1.

Please search for BATTLEFIELD BAD COMPANY 2 M11X R1 OPTIMIZATION thread. Ignore the stuff specific for battlefield and do all the other stuff.

    Have fun, StevenX

Thanks for the helpful info, after optimizing my r1 these are my free 3dmark06 results...
    http://3dmark.com/3dm06/15175806

Sound about right? Am i supposed to get a new video driver since i enabled discrete graphics in the BIOS?

Also, since i disabled most of the alienware software, my touchpad no longer will automatically disable once i plug my mouse in... best way around this?

3dmark06 should be around 6700-6900 after full optimization. Something with 3dmark isnt right. Try it again.

Here's my 3DMark06 score with minimal optimizations:
    Result

Comparing to yours, the graphics scores are about half what they ought to be. Something going on with your video card there.
