    Hi,
My computer just showed up today it is awesome I love it looks great and feels great to use.
My only issue is the f key is being tempremental sometimes it works no bother as normal others I have to press it about 10 times to get it to work.
It doesn't seem to be a pressure issue when it does work can press real soft when it doesn't even when applying full pressure makes no difference.
It really makes it a pain to type.
Also while the thread is here if there are links to other threads or any advice people have on updates etc to make before I start using this thing please let me know.
I have grabbed Avast straight away but that is about it so far.
    Thanks for any help.

Call support and have them replace the keyboard.

So bummed only had the thing about an hour.
But aslong as they do a good job I don't mind ... seems some people say they fix one thing then something else pops up.

Does anyone who has used the UK support know which number is best to use for Alienware related issues?

Keyboard is a really quick swap, nothing should be harmed in swapping it out.

It's literally removing the service plate, battery, some screws located below the battery, - nothing else should end up being harmed.

Basically said it's possibly just cause it's a brand new build so give it 3-4 days of use and keep track of any improvement.
If not they will replace the keyboard straight away.

Please, lol. No more hysteria guys. Seriously, I think black feels ok with the tech's response or he would be complaining.

Don't freak hydro. If there is an issue, which I doubt - then yes, you have a course of action you can take. Remember, if you aren't happy in that first 21 day period from date of invoice, return it.

There should be no reason to worry about your new system before it even arrives. Don't let the hinge threads scare you and ruin the joy of a new system. Use it. If something does fail, then its getting fixed/replaced/resolved - simple as that (that, is called the Dell Warranty).

Yeah I'm not freaking out I was just seeing if it was a problem others may of had.
Calm down people, it's awesome I am blown away so far ... And the support was really helpful and simply said if there are no signs of improvements it will be replaced.
I can't wait to put an SSD in this will be amazing!
This thread is a god send I will no doubt have loads more questions to get the most out of my new Alienware!

I had my keyboard replaced because of the spacebar registering only 50% of the time. Replacement works great, on-site tech did an excellent job. Whole turn around time from my original phone call to new keyboard installed was like 48 hours.

That is great to know ... I am glad they do on site repairs cause it would suck to have to send it back when I just got it especially with the trouble I had getting it.
