Now that I got m11, I am looking to sell my old plastic macbook 09. It's running a boot camp-so I am planning to do a clean install of OSX

A quick questions to those who have sold laptops before (craigslist)

    1. Other than nuking your HD, what else should I do to ensure that the buyer will not use my laptop to my disadvantage? In another words, what can I to ensure that my privacy is protected? I registered my laptop with Apple, but wondering if I need to contact apple or need to update registration info somehow.

    2. Is there a guide on how to do a fresh install of OSX on a mac with a boot camp?

    3. I plan to craigslist--I never sold anything on craigslist, but I plan to accept cash only.

Any other tip would be grateful.

    1. Just in the off chance you don't know this, reformatting doesn't necessarily delete data. I recommend About DBAN | Darik's Boot And Nuke. It will write random data to every bit of the hard drive so that nothing is left. Of course why trust some guy on the internet, so here is a NYTimes article on DBAn: http://www.google.com/search?q=http...s=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a (first link--NYT requires you to pay to see the article unless you go through Google).
    2. sorry don't use mac
    3. Public places are good, and bring a friend or family member for backup. LOL, well, it depends on how bad your area is, but I live in Philly and Craigslist scams happen.
