OK, so I have an M11x and have been having issues as of late. First I noticed a google bug, fixed that, now I just have a whole slew of problems. Hard drive clusters partly damaged. Cant access my C drive at all. Windows Delayed Write Failures. Just...everything and nothing is working. Im not sure if I should just restore to factory (which i dont know how to do) or if anyone on here can help me with all these "critical" issues that keep popping up. Thanks for any help in advance, hopefully someone responds soon before I throw it out the window lol.

Can you use it at all? Does anything work? What was the google bug? Is your computer trying to use a program you have never heard of to fix the problem? I would take a guess that its one of two things, although they aren't the only possibilities. If you can try some of these suggestions and or give us more detail (such as exact error messages) it would be helpful.

    1) your hard drive might have died. In this case you would have to replace it.
    a. I would try plugging in a portable hard drive first see if it works fine.
    b. Restoring to factory settings (or reformat). If that fixes the problem then it means your hard drive is ok and it was software based.

    2) A virus may have corrupted system files.
    a. Run a virus scan ( I believe trend micro has a free online scanner) If you find viruses you will probably need to go on a forum thread or do research on how to clean it up.
    b. In my experience if you get a virus its just easier to start over and restore it.

Once again there's more possibilities then this but where I would start if I was in that situation is save as much data as i can off the hard drive then reformat.
