    Hi

Purchased a MX11, I just for the life of me cannot get the GT335M enabled.

I have made sure that going into the BIOS that I can switch from the integrated to GT, installed new drivers, when I go to settings > Nvidia control panel, tells me it does not detect a Nvidia graphics card, on my system.

Even right clicking on the desktop there is no Nvidia control panel. When I select FN+F6 all i get is a increased performance program which does nothing since i cannot select any running game.

Where am i going wrong ?

    Thanks

Are you trying to install the latest driver from nVidia? If so, that's your problem. You have to download the inf file floating around this forum to get the latest driver from nvidia.com to work.

Only driver I have installed is the current one Dell offer since I read D/ling the driver directly from Nvidia.com causes problems.

assume your running the M11 R1 - If so I feel your pain I have had plenty of hassles getting the 355 card to switch on.

It is probably corrupted drivers - so first recommendation is to reinstall those from the dell site. If this does not help I find going into device manager and refreshing devices useful as this should bring up a video device which may not be able to start due to an error code - just click yes and let computer re-boot if your lucky your back to life again and should be able to switch.

If not repeat - I was forced in the end to do a complete reinstall of the OS - and the very first thing I installed was the video drivers- this has made it more reliable but has not totally fixed the issue - good luck!!!

I don't even turn on the integrated graphics. I have switching disabled in the bios and I have plenty of battery life on my system.
