would anyone with an i7 that has a bad GPU OC but a decent CPU OC swap their mobo for my i5 that has a good CPU OC (up to 174 FSB) and pretty damn good GPU OC in the philly area? as it stands i have the highest 3dmark06 score of all the m11x's on the forum but i only really play one game: SC2. SC2 requires raw CPU mhz and GPU OC barely helps. I feel like my GPU card that can OC really well is a waste and I would really like a nice bump in CPU speed to get those minimum frame rates up during intsense 1v1 micro scenes (im in master league so every little micro decision counts!).

P.S. I have also added fresh arctic silver 5 on the mobo and I am very good at taking apart the m11x so I could do all the handy work.

Here is proof of high 3dmark06 this is at 1280 X 768

I don't think people will be willing to trade i7 with i5 under any circumstances as i7 definitely cost them a lot more.

worth a shot, there is hardly any performance gain between an i5 and an i7 unless it is an RTS game. however, there is a large performance difference between a stock GPU and a OC gpu in most other games.

says you're only using 2 gb of ram... how's that working out for you when you're playing sc2? do you feel like it's pulling you back or doesn't have a significant impact?
