Ever since I got my m11x Ive been taking really good care of it when I heard about the hinge issues; my hinges are in good shape ( r1) model
And I thought to myself..well since its r1 its bound to break at one point, so might as well get the r3 model hinges. So I called Dell and it turns out they "revised" their program where if you dont have warranty, you ahve to ship in your m11x to their warehouse.
Not that big of a problem, ( its 5-6 business days ) but still nonetheless, theyre changing their program which is leading me to believe that this program might be closing down, because they used to send technicians to your house ( i called them a week before I had to leave the country for vacation, which was around a month ago )
Anywho, here I am...trying to "damage" my hinges so I can send it in, though Im not quite sure how to go about that...or if I even should, cause the case number and all the paperworks been filed out by support team.
any thoughts?
Sorry if its too long.

no, the program will fix your hinges so they wont have future problems..

Do they replace the middle piece/casing area as well? Because I fear I might have damaged that in the process o-o or at least strained it to the point... >_>

They will replace the screen assembly and the power button cover too.

I just hope they take care of my baby =[
Something tells me the technicians there will rough it up because Im sending it in now in good condition x-x -

SWIM ( someone who isnt me ) is asking = what would you have written for this; there are two boxes on this paper with the boxes to send my m11x to the warehouse
1) describe the problem
2) steps to replicate said problem
My m11x and me.
