Hello I'm going to make this short, I've recently bought the m11x R1 from the outlet and it got here on February 8th. Great machine but it has a few problems.

For starters i made a different thread but it died so I'm going to try again, when i first got my computer everything seemed fine there are minor scratches on the front and left ports i can live with that. The keyboard sinks in a little from the middle its an issue but not that big. And the hinges aren't aligned right. But now it freezes at least twice a day. and i take great care of it, only used it really less then 10hr and turning it off every night. So when it freezes I'm at a lost. would this qualify as maybe sending this in and being able to get another?

Depends on whether the freeze is software or hardware related.

Sure, the idea that you've had two hardware issues leads you to believe that the third is obviously a hardware issue. But if it's stock right out of the box, a clean format tends to solve problems.

Sleep or Hiber? Hibernation files can be corrupted. Have not had this problem myself but did battle with a Sony once that someone else had.

I've had sleep issues with my MSI system, and installing a hotfix from Microsoft sorted it. Do a search for KB977178-v2. You have to request it from MS, but all that means is providing them your e-mail address. They'll typically send it within 5 minutes. Install, reboot, and you should be good to go.

If you just received it on February 8th and you're having all of these problems - call up Dell and state you want to return it or exchange it. You should have no problem proving your case. You have 21 days from the invoice date to return it.

Why waste time troubleshooting with a "brand new" refurb? If there are problems, tell Dell. It is unacceptable to have a computer that has these kinds of issues within days of purchase.

My memory of all Dell returns is they send or arrange for the shipping.
