    Mx11 keyboard issue

    I just got my new M11x and the keyboard works fine in all the programs,but when I try to play Portal which came with the computer, it seems to have some issues. It only let me moves sideways. I've tried reassigning the buttons, when i assign forward to "w" the game says I pressed the "8" key. I thought it might just be the game so i installed another game and it does the same thing. I've checked in the control panel under languages to make sure keyboard is U.S. and it is. Does anyone out there have any suggestions. Please.

    Perhaps reseatting your keyboard ZIF cable might help. Also maybe a genuinely defective keyboard. Also moving this to M11x subforum.

    Sounds like you triggered number lock some how. See if it's caused by some programs you have installed.

    I agree with ACHlLLES, it has to be a software that is doing this. And it is a M11X not Mx11 :p and which R model is it?

    Either your keyboard is *wait for the scientific word* messed up or your num. lock key is on.

    If its the num. lock key, make sure to yell "Darn you num. lock key!" That should tell him!
