So I was suppose to get my m11x yesterday but I didn't hear the Fedex guys coming at all so now I have to wait till tuesday to pick it up . So in the meantime, I was wondering if there are any essential downloads that I should have for the m11x. Just any programs you guys find essential to have with the m11x.

    Thanks :)

For overclocking the GPU, either MSI Afterburner or EVGA Precision. They're both pretty much the same application with a different interface, so pick whichever you prefer.

Additionally, Soluto is pretty useful for optimizing your boot process.

Throttlestop seems to be a must have from the other threads.

Other than that, all I can add is the usual tongue in cheek - anything from gog.com, steam, a ton of games etc etc etc

Throttlestop doesn't help the R1, just the R2.

ThrottleStop can't do anything besides monitor an M11x-R1. When overclocking in the bios, Dell has disabled EIST and locked it so the CPU speed and voltage are fixed and can't be changed.

Apologies - yeah, saw the R1 caveat too late.

Suggestions for Portal, Gog.com and every single awesome game ever made remain though.

From the Control Panel, open up Mouse Properties --> Device Settings --> Settings --> Pinch Zoom.

I found the pinch zoom but I thought there was some way of allowing for 2 finger scrolling? Or am I mistaken?

Oh, my bad. I haven't gotten that working on mine yet. I understand that you can do it with Scrybe though. I just haven't cared enough to dig that far yet.

to built2roll and to codesplice: don't install the scybe, it disables the 2 finger scroll... instead u should install the v15.0.9 driver (google it, u'll probably found a HP one). At final, u loose the gesture control but u get the 2 finger scroll and 3 finger gesture.

Well on my r2 there was no option for 2 finger scrolling (like i am used to from using my eee 901). I tried installing latest from the synaptics website but it claimed I had a more recent version. Anyway I uninstalled current and installed the drivers from synaptics site and I have two finger scrolling working. It appeared in the device setting menu though I still can't see an option to allow a two finger tap for middle click :(

Sweet, got the latest driver published on the Synaptic website. I now have two finger scrolling - and I also enabled "Momentum" (so the pointer behaves like a trackball - you can flick it across the screen) and the Tap Corners (so tapping the bottom right of my touchpad brings up the start menu). Pretty handy stuff!

Edit: Also set up the bottom-right corner to emulate a middle click. No need for three fingers!
