Hey! I know this is a small problem, but my multimedia hot keys ( fn+f10-12) don't work unless I'm on the program (itunes). Does anyone know how to make it so I can change the song while playing games?

If you install Playxpert from http://http://www.playxpert.com, you can set it up so that itunes is controlled with certain keys. Maybe the media keys will work?

I don't use itunes, but check the preferences/config/whatever to make sure global shortcuts are enabled and configured.

I googled around, and it looks like itunes doesn't support it. This software, however, is made to let you choose and use global hotkeys.

i tried that before and it doesn't work for me... gives me an error.

the playexpert gets up a bunch of ram too, kind of a waste to just change songs.

iTunes in and of itself is just a waste to even play songs on...
That is just personal preference though!
Grab winamp or foobar and you'll be sitting pretty. If you like album artwork both support that feature now as well, which is the only thing iTunes has going for it as a music player.
Your ram usage will thank you, AND your media buttons will work!

iphone support for winamp IPhone and iPod touch support - Winamp iPod plugin ml_iPod

iphone support for foobar (i think; it doesn't mention the iphone specifically) How to Use Foobar2000 0.9.6 With Foo_Pod - wikiHow and the direct link to foo_pod http://www.tinkafoo.com/log/foo_pod.html and the huge thread on hydrogenaudio on it foo_pod - Foobar2000 meets the iPod - Hydrogenaudio Forums

also, with foobar, you can use your iphone as a remote iPod Touch/iPhone as a remote for Foobar? - Head-Fi.org Community

another option is mediamonkey, which has native support for all iphone versions http://www.mediamonkey.com/
